Recommended resources

Documenting the impact of the Trump administration on our country’s institutions, systems, and people is a colossal project - far too large for any single entity. At Unbreaking, we meticulously cite our sources, but our team reads and relies upon a much larger ecosystem of journalists, analysts, editors, and expert sources than what you’ll find in our footnotes alone.

We believe that doing documentation work together and in public builds understanding, resilience, and connection among our communities. We hope you will follow and support the work of all those who are dedicated to the work of bearing witness.

Tracker tracker

Our Tracker tracker is a curated list of datasets, databases, and other dedicated projects focused on documenting the administration’s actions in a structured way. The formats vary considerably, but each project represents a determination to create and share critical records that we can no longer entrust to our government. Collectively, these trackers represent untold hours of work and countless individual contributions.

To date, our project team has collected more than 100 trackers. We have projects devoted to food systems, ICE sightings, NASA and aerospace, executive orders affecting Black communities, and so much more. Explore them all in our public tracking sheet.

Our project team is also regularly adding new sources, checking for updates, and guarding against link rot. Do you have a project that we should include or see something that needs fixing? Please send us your resources and recommendations using this form.
